Uncharted Selected as a Joint Venture Partner for NTIS Data Innovation Program

Private sector technology can rapidly improve public sector data economy

In October 2016, the U.S. Department of Commerce National Technical Information Service (NTIS) announced Uncharted’s selection as one of 35 partners in a new joint venture program to spur public sector data innovation. The terms of the partnership mean that agencies such as the U.S. Census Bureau, NOAA, the FDA, HUD, and HHS will have unprecedented ease of access to data-driven software innovation provided by Uncharted and other leading-edge industry partners. Recent comments by NTIS Director Avi Bender and U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross have touted the program’s ability to quickly bring about improved technology and services to government agencies that are increasingly collecting massive amounts of data and leveraging it to drive economic growth.
